Oh that's hilarious. The dog armor and women's "cold metal" armor are pretty funny too 
Thinking about it, small animals in d&d do have kinda high statted strengths (for small critters at least). Too lazy to open the books and run the numbers but offhand I don't think it'd be too expensive to dress out a familiar in full plate (or out of their carry capacity).
